Looking at a Massey Ferguson 6485 on MassiveAuctionTraders. It's listed at $48k Buy Now with about 3,200 hours. This is my first time buying equipment online and the price seems really good compared to what I'm seeing locally.

Is this company legitimate? The website looks professional and they claim to be an "Authorized Auction Platform" dealing with bank repo equipment. But $48k for a 6485 in good condition feels almost too cheap.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's actually bought from them.
A buddy of mine picked up a Bobcat S650 from them last fall. Said the process was straightforward - they do free shipping which was a nice bonus. He was nervous about the wire transfer but it all went through fine. I'll ask him for more details if you want.
@495man Yeah that would be helpful. I've seen some positive reviews online but would love to hear from people with firsthand experience.

How long did shipping take for your buddy?
I bought a CAT 308 excavator from them about 8 months ago. I'm overseas so everything was handled via email and phone - they were responsive and explained the whole process clearly including the wire transfer and delivery timeline.

Equipment arrived in 11 days, condition matched the photos and video they sent. No surprises. They have a 5-day inspection period after delivery which gave me peace of mind.

One tip: call them directly and verify wire instructions before sending anything. Standard precaution for any large purchase.
Had a good experience with them. Bought a 2022 John Deere 5075E last year - shipped in about 10 days. Tractor was exactly as described, put 400 hours on it since with zero issues.

Their prices are lower because it's repo equipment. Banks just want to move inventory, they're not trying to maximize profit like a dealer.
If the price checks out and the hours are reasonable, I'd say go for it. 3,200 hours on a 6485 isn't bad at all.

Keep us posted on how it goes - always good to have more data points on these online auction companies.
Worked with them a few months back on a compact tractor purchase. Found them helpful and professional. The 6-month mechanical guarantee they offer is legit - covers engine, transmission, hydraulics.

Only downside was delivery took 12 days instead of the 7-10 they estimated. Weather delay apparently. They kept me informed though.
Same here - they helped me get my first tractor about a year ago. Kubota M7060. Process was smooth, no hidden fees. The free delivery saved me a good chunk of change.
Haven't used them personally but I've seen them mentioned on a few other forums. General consensus seems to be they're legit. Let us know how the verification process goes - I'm curious about their KYC requirements.
Thanks everyone for the feedback! Just completed their verification form and submitted my offer. They said I should receive the invoice by tomorrow morning.

The rep I talked to (Marcus) was helpful and walked me through the wire transfer process. A bit nervous sending $48k to someone I've never met in person, but the 5-day inspection period and guarantee make me feel better about it.

Will keep you all posted.
Following this thread. Been eyeing a wheel loader on their site myself. Hoping everything goes smooth for you - would definitely push me to pull the trigger too.
Based on what others are saying here, sounds like you'll be fine. The repo auction model is solid - I've bought equipment that way before (different company) and saved 30-40% vs dealer prices.

Keep us updated!
I'll vouch for them too. Bought a Bobcat T590 last year. I'm old school - usually won't buy anything I can't inspect in person. But the 5-day inspection window and 6-month guarantee convinced me to try it.

Tracked loader arrived 10 days after payment. No issues, exactly as described. Would use them again.
Their communication has been solid in my experience. Should be hearing from them soon with tracking info.
@da.bees Yes! Tractor delivered this morning!

Ferguson arrived in great shape. Driver called ahead, delivery was smooth. Signed off on the paperwork and unloaded it right away so I could start the 5-day inspection period.

Fired right up, everything operates like it should. Hydraulics are smooth, no leaks, PTO engages clean. Having my mechanic do a full check tomorrow but first impressions are excellent.

$48k for a tractor that would've cost $65k+ at a dealer. Really glad I went through with it.

Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences - wouldn't have had the confidence to do this without your input. MassiveAuctionTraders is legit.
